Good morning everyone. We are going to talk more about choices today, this time the choices I made 38 years ago that affected my life. In chapter eight I talk about my life long choice of choosing a spouse and how God showed me in a big way who to choose. I know that if I did not spend a lot of time in prayer at the age of 20 I would of married outside of God’s will.
I tell how God gave me a dream to help me know who was the right one for me. It was that one dream that I had that told me which way to go in life and I am so glad I followed what I know God was telling me.
I want to encourage you to pray always, especially when you are making a big decision, like marriage or anything for that matter. I know for a fact how real God is in my life and he can be real for you too. Prayer is the key to all your right decisions. God knows what is best for you and will not let you down if you will only ask. We don’t ask for specifics and this is why we don’t get specific answers. God blesses us all everyday but He wants us to ask Him for what we want.
When we take the time to pray and ask God He will give you an answer and it will be the right one. If you are trying to make a life long decision such as who to spend the rest of your life with go to God for help. He will not fail you. Our scripture for today is Genesis 2:24  “A man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.”

God has established a sacred boundary around your marriage. Respecting it will keep it strong, safe and happy.

Hope you are all having a wonderful start to your day. We are going to talk some more on our choices that we make. Especially our life long choices. In chapter seven of my book Mark tells his view on life and the choices he made. One of those choices was choosing a spouse. Before you make a life long commitment to someone always remember to pray and ask God if who you are choosing is the right one for you.
When Mark and I were dating we always went to church together and studied the Bible together everyday. We did not start out believing in the same things, but studying together helped us become one in all our beliefs. This is a very important step when 2 people are going to be together for life. You have to make sure you are compatible in all things, including what you believe. It sure makes life a lot easier and happier when your spouse is with you 100 percent.
I have seen so many men and women at church either by themselves or with their children and there is no other half with them. This is very sad, you can see it in their eyes. My scripture today is about choosing a wife but it also goes for choosing a husband. Proverbs 18:22 says “He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the Lord.”   If we marry God’s chosen one for us, He will pour out His blessings! Have a wonderful day!
