In the next chapter of my book, chapter 20, you will read how being patient pays off and in a big way. After that big sign we had from God, which by the way you can read about it in my book, God opened up all the doors for us not even 6 months later. We were finally seeing the light at the end of the long, long tunnel of living in that school bus for 6 years.
God opened up a way for us to move out of there and into a wonderful, brand new mobile home in Maine. It was like stepping out of darkness and into the light. We thought we were in Heaven when our new home arrived. If you find yourself impatient today don't choose to stay that way because it will only cause you loose sight of the bigger picture.
Seek the Lord in prayer and tell Him all about it. Impatience clouds our view and we can't see what God has in store for us. When you do this you can be sure that if we wait patiently on the Lord we will never be disappointed. Sometimes it takes a long time to get the answers, like 6 years years living in the school bus, raising 3 children. How about Bible characters, like Joseph when he was sold by his brothers that he trusted, and ended up in prison for being falsely accused of doing something he did not do. He had to wait and be patient, and the outcome for him was wonderful.
God had turned something awful into something grand. Our scripture today is found in Lamentations 3:25,26, It reads "The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him. It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord."
Being impatient will only delay the Lord’s will for you. It will only cause you to stumble and fall. Waiting quietly, seeking and hoping will always prove to be the better choice. Give it a try right now. Have a wonderful day!
