In the next chapter of my book, chapter 29, I talk about love. Love makes all the difference. When we pour out our love on someone how can that person react accept for loving back. Making another human being feel good and not hurt. We should always watch what we say or how we respond to one another.
When someone is hurting you how do you respond? Do you lash back out with as many or more hurtful words that sometimes you can never take back? Or do you respond with love, filtering out what your words will be before you throw them out there.
My mouth has always been my biggest problem and I have had to pray for myself constantly because I tend to want to say just what is on my mind and not filter first. God is showing me everyday how to control my words and only speak things that will uplift another human being. I am learning to do unto others the way I would like to be treated.
Love can accomplish many things. It was God's love for us that caused Jesus to die for our sins. In some cases it is better for us to be hurt to accomplish the end. Bite your tongue when someone lashes unkindly out to you. Just say I love you. That is what I did when I was raising my children and they would lash out at me as they grew older. I just said, I don't understand why you are doing this to me but I will always love you. I always tried to respond with love. And I am here to say it worked. You can read all about it in my book, in chapter 29.
Love conquers all, It is a healing to the soul. God is love. Let us pour out our love to everyone we meet today. Our scripture is found in 1 Corinthians 13:8, It says
Love never fails.
The love of God is given to you the most when you fail. Treating someone else with the same mercy is the greatest gift you can give.
