Good morning, are you remembering to start your day with God so you can keep your self happy. I was just reminded of ten things to start our day with to have a happier life. All those ten things were terrific but it left out one important item and that was to start your day with God. Just a short sentence sometimes, like "Thank you God for waking me this morning and giving me another day." Then you can incorporate those other ten things, such as, 1.Don't get angry over insignificant things, only makes you miserable, 2.Write something good about yourself before you go to bed at night and read it again in the morning. 3.Think only nice things when you come across some one you don't like. There must be something good about them, focus on that. 4.Learn something new every day. 5.Be kind to other people. 6.Take at least 15 minutes to relax every day. 7.Smile at other people. 8.Try yoga, or meditation, exercise, it really does help. 9.Enjoy the little things in life. 10.Stay away from too much sugary stuff to keep your mind clear and focusing all day.   These are all great things but I am adding number 11. Start your day with God!!!!!!!!!!!! In my next chapter of my book, chapter 34, I had to learn to focus on the good that was happening in my life at the moment. I was taking care of Mom after her stroke at her apartment which meant I had to leave my husband for 3 months to do this. It was not an easy task trying to get her body and mind well again. It took a lot of exercising and concentration with her. I would lie awake at night feeling so alone without my husband and I felt at times mom would never get better.  I really wanted to give up at times. I had to take one day at a time and incorporate those 11 items into my life everyday or I would of not made it through.   Our scripture for today is found in Psalm 102:7. It reads, "I lie awake and watch. I am like a sparrow alone on the housetop."

Are you feeling alone and helpless? Vulnerable like that little sparrow alone on the housetop?

Are you not much better than the sparrow? God is with you and He will take care of it.

Good morning everyone. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I did until I got attacked by yellow jackets last night. What a panic that was. The stings I received were just so painful and lasted so long. I am happy to report that this morning I am feeling so much better, the pain is gone and the bites have disappeared, like nothing ever happened. Wow, it reminds me of what Jesus does for us when we sin. The pain of sin last so long until we ask our forgiveness then Jesus throws our sins into the deepest sea and tells us to remember them no more. The best part is He does not remember them any more.

What  a loving God we serve. Today I would like to lift you up and give you hope when life throws things at you that are devastating. I remember when my Mom got her stroke.  I tell about it in my book, in chapter 33. We were all there visiting her and having a wonderful holiday until she suddenly fell over and had that stroke that changed all of our lives. We needed to trust in God for the strength we all needed, especially my Mom.

If you find yourself in this kind of situation or something similar, remember that we serve a God that cares and He will give you the strength you need one day at a time to get through it all. Just like He did for us at that time and last night for me with all that horrible pain from the stings of the bees. We will get through it all and come out better because of it, learning who to rely on when we are facing tough times.

I think we need those tough times to remind us that God cares and He is there for us. If everything was always smooth sailing we would not have a need to fall on our knees and cry to Him for help. Those tough times helps us to know who God is and how much He cares for us.

We will never be free from the pain of this world until He comes back to make all things new. I pray that will be soon.

Our scripture for the day is found in Psalm 29:11. It reads,

"The Lord will give strength to His people; The Lord will bless His people with
peace."

Our Heavenly Father knows when you need to be lifted up. Trust Him to give sufficient grace one day at a time.
